Note: Finasteride is only approved for use by men and should not be used or handled by women or children.
How It Works
Finasteride works by blocking the action of 5-alpha-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). High levels of DHT shrink hair follicles and shorten the hair growth cycle, leading to thinning and baldness.
By reducing DHT levels in the scalp, Finasteride helps to preserve hair follicles, stimulate new hair growth, and slow further hair loss over time.
